Sinbad

A review from Richard & Penny
Sinbad our Disney Dog is now back with us again, thanks to art@suegreenaldart.com
Sinbad joined our family in 1967 after he was found lost in the centre of Leeds rush hour traffic, he was cold, wet and hungry. After nobody claimed him, I took him home where he settled in with the three of us and when our son was just one year old. Fortunately he was fantastic with small children and adults too, and wow what a star dog he was. Wherever we lived (Leeds Devon Somerset) people stopped to talk to him first, not us, and he became a local attraction. The children said he was like a “ Disney dog.“ He was with us for 15 years and I made several attempts to get local artists to paint his picture for me from existing photos, but without success.
However by chance in June 2024 I found Sue Greenald (who is related to my godson) who specialises in Pet and Wildlife portraits using drafting film and coloured pencils. After receiving photos of Sinbad from us and discussing our choice with her, we received a detailed quote, for me always comforting when ordering on line. We received the framed picture above a month later via Royal Mail.
The picture is so lifelike we talk to Sinbad each day and reminisce about the great joy and fun he brought to our family. Richard & Penny B
